QuietTorque™ Electric Propulsion Motors
What separates an Electric Yacht QuietTorque™ electric propulsion motor from the rest? …in a word…VALUE!
Repowering your boat with electric propulsion is a big decision. There are many choices and options to consider. We invite you to compare us to the competition.
We offer a complete package designed to make an electric repower as easy and straight forward as possible.
- Our motors use state of the art permanent magnet ac (PMAC) motors and vector motor controllers, maximizing efficiency across the entire operating envelope.
- Our motors now offer adjustable regeneration that can be optimized to your boat, propeller and sailing conditions.
Our kit is very complete and includes everything you will need except batteries, battery cables and charger. Contact us directly or through one of our dealers and we will help you design a complete system to meet your particular needs
Specifications and Features:
- Motor/controller unit with mounting hardware mounts to your existing engine beds, in most cases
- Weather proof throttle control with key switch designed to be mounted in the cockpit. Locks in neutral to prevent accidental operation. Lift locking ring and advance throttle to operate
- Battery monitor (display) mounts in cockpit, giving instant feedback. Displays battery voltage, current, state of charge (SOC), distance to discharge at current speed and regeneration at a glance
- Adjustable regeneration level lets you optimize regeneration for your boat, propeller and sailing conditions
- Kit also includes shaft coupler, relay, power switch and Class-T fuse and holder

Any of our QuietTorque™ electric motor systems can be built to operate at voltages up to 120Vdc. At this voltage, the output is 2.5x the 48Vdc rating. These are built on a wider and slightly taller frame that provides the speed reduction necessary to turn the larger propellers found on larger boats.
These motors retain all of the features of our standard 48Vdc offerings while providing the power needed for much larger vessels. We build these on a semi-custom basis and can provide a design and components necessary to make a powerful and safe system at a very modest price premium over our 48Vdc systems.
In addition, we can build propulsion motors operating at 300Vdc and up to 125hp continuous output rating. These motors are built using time tested industrial induction motors or more compact Permanent Magnet Ac (PMAC) motors. We can design the entire electrical system and provide the components to make a very powerful, but safe, electric propulsion system.
